I found it profoundly sad. Yes, there were funny parts, just like "The Devil Wears Prada," but by and large, it made me so very sad and I wanted to cry.Pattiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11246904837775307023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6315921425588478095.post-30326058754546792712007-08-25T15:35:00.000-04:002007-08-25T15:35:00.000-04:00I'm generally a one or the other type of person. I...I'm generally a one or the other type of person. I hate all the differences between movie and book, so I will usually decide if I want to read the book or just see the movie. After I've seen the movie, I never really care about reading the book, but if a book is really, really good, and if I think the movie-makers might not have messed it up too badly, I might see the movie, too. But I've gotten to the point where I will only read a book if I'm extremely interested in it for some reason. A book is a big time investment. <BR/>And I just watched the Last Sin-Eater. It was fabulous, but now I have no plans to read the book.Melanie Dickersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09752176517296691824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6315921425588478095.post-9260053569453305282007-08-25T13:43:00.000-04:002007-08-25T13:43:00.000-04:00I have to see the movie first. Also with reading a book you have the characters formed in your mind and when oyu see the movie it ruins how you pictures the story.brittanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15772515746381377598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6315921425588478095.post-8348840773932666472007-08-25T11:59:00.000-04:002007-08-25T11:59:00.000-04:00Well, now you've got me interested in both reading...Well, now you've got me interested in both reading and seeing TND. Sounds like an interesting premise. I usually like to read the book before seeing the movie, for the same reasons you mentioned. Although I must say I love Francine River's books but read The Last Sin Eater years ago and didn't really care for it. Then saw the movie a month ago and really liked it. It made more sense to me on the big screen. But that's unusual.Sherrie Ashcrafthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02427431760925277147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6315921425588478095.post-69751683183866196982007-08-25T07:17:00.000-04:002007-08-25T07:17:00.000-04:00Definitely see the movie. LOL Never ever read the book first!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
